another kettle of fish by bonzaialsatian another kettle of fish by bonzaialsatian
Where why how?
What is a kettle of fish?
Why is a kettle of fish??

Is it just a convenient place to put them? Or is it just the most convenient way to boil them...?

Aren't words great?

Love your foxy there, I can hear him thinking: "I wonder if the artist knows that the phrase is actually 'That'll be a fine kettle of fish!'" :D

i've heard the phrase used in many different ways, though more often as 'another kettle of fish'. i wonder what the origin is...

I have never heard 'another kettle of fish' but hey I've not spoken to every English speaking person in the world either ;) I think it's visual in origin. If you put a lot of fish together into a small space (like a kettle) they are all over the place, on top of eachother and trying to jump out--same idea as "opening a can of worms."

Thankyou - and for the :+fav: too

Random English phrases... I also like mixing them: 'he was half a brick short of two planks'...

I liked the windy strokes and of course the furry red fox-like canine. Is he gonna climb up and bring down the kettle? :)
