Artist's Comments

I came across this quote in a book called Eats, Shites and Leaves, a parody of Lynne Truss' Eats, Shoots and Leaves. It was, of course, spoken by the ever popular Anon, which means that either everybody's probably thought of it at some time, or that some poor person's twitching in their grave right now because the famous Anon has stolen their glory once again...

Anyway, I have quite a fondness for aardvarks, probably originating in part from the wonderful Otis who used to flick his nose for several hours every weekday afternoon on CBBC. Ah, Otis, nothing can ever replace you - especially not that 'hip'-speaking upstart of indeterminate species that haunted the CBBC airwaves last time I looked *grumbles in grouchy nostalgic manner*

Of course, aardvark is in fact only the second word in most dictionaries, since a generally comes first, which rather ruins the joke.
But mneh, you know I just did it for the aardvark.

*Painted with fairtrade black coffee :)

Wow, you weren't kidding. I hope this wasn't instead of writing the essay :giggle: You're getting good at these, rock on!

...yes, I'm afraid it was :P

Ah well, guess I should go and eat cheese now to compensate the non-essay-ness of life...
